OVERVIEW
- The sulphide (S-2) radical is among the first groups of the acid radical in which hydrochloric acid is used as the group reagent while silver nitrate, lead acetate, and sodium nitroprusside are used as confirmatory test reagents in case of sulphide radical salts.
- In this experiment, we will test the salt solubility with water. Then we will test the reaction of the salt with HCl, after which we will perform the confirmatory tests with silver nitrate, lead acetate, and sodium nitroprusside reagents to confirm the presence of sulphide radical in the salt
