Praxilabs Organizes Event to Conduct a Hands-On Experience with High School Students with Hearing Disability

PraxiLabs organized an event in collaboration with the National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID) to do a trial using PraxiLabs with students with hearing disability and see their ability to use the platform after adding to the videos their sign language so that they can understand the experiment more and then use the platform to do it.

During the event, the students began to experience Praxilabs Virtual Science Labs and accepted a better understanding of the experiments. The students also expressed their happiness with this experience. Dr.Khadija El-Bedweihy, CEO of Praxilabs, explained how virtual science labs make it easier for these students to understand different science subjects more clearly and thus will make them more qualified and enable them to integrate into society more.

The National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2018 during the Seventh Annual International Conference on Communication and Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities, with the aim of empowering people with special needs and equal opportunities, after years of suffering and marginalization, within the framework of declaring 2018 the year of persons with disabilities . In less than a year, according to the State Information Service, the academy trained more than 1,600 young Egyptians and Africans through various programs and diplomas.

 

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Abdel Moneim El Sharkawy, President of the Academy, and Dr. Amr Al Awamri, for hosting PraxiLabs team and cooperating with us to support and activate the role of people of determination and contribute to their integration into society and their rehabilitation in the fields of science, thus enabling them to be effective partners in society.

 

It is worth noting that PraxiLabs launched an initiative that is the first of its kind to use technology to rehabilitate and educate people of determination in various fields of science. The goal of the initiative is to activate the developmental role of people of determination, enhance public awareness, contribute to their integration into society, and qualify them in the fields of science, thus enabling them to be effective partners in society.
